Modern Mechanic, building a professional OBD 2 vehicle diagnostics platform. We set out to create a fast, reliable, and user-friendly app that turns complex engine data into clear insights for both drivers and mechanics. The challenge was developing and testing real-time OBD functionality without consistent access to a physical vehicle. To solve this,we invested in a professional OBD 2 car simulator to emulate real-world ECU data. This let us reliably test engine start stop cycles, RPM changes, temperature sensors, DTC codes, and live PID data without needing a car. Our design team focused on simplicity and speed, creating an interface mechanics and first-time users can understand instantly. On the technical side, we engineered modular Bluetooth communication, real-time telemetry processing, and a scalable architecture for future expansion. The result is a reliable, intuitive diagnostics platform that helps users detect issues early, monitor performance, and make informed maintenance decisions, all from a mobile device.
